1. Introduction

Welcome to the Metadata Monitor platform of Music Story (the “Platform”).

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Metadata Monitor Platform, including all related content, features, and services.

By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

These Terms apply specifically to users of Metadata Monitor.

2. Purpose of the Platform

Metadata Monitor is a secure back-office tool designed to support the use and monitoring of Music Story’s metadata services and API.

Its purpose is to:

  • Management of access to Metadata and of the service levels associated with its delivery;
  • Management of the relationship with all authorized users involved in Metadata consumption or in their interactions with Music Story;
  • Browsing and exploration of all Metadata and other music-related data made available by Music Story.
  • Offer API management features such as usage tracking, API status information, and access to support.

Access to the Platform is strictly limited to professional use by authorized users.

3. Access to the Platform

Access to the Platform is subject to these Terms as well as any specific rights granted under the user’s contractual agreement with Music Story.

Music Story reserves the right to update or modify the Platform or these Terms at any time. Any updates will be communicated through the Platform or by other appropriate means. Continued use of the Platform after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Music Story may suspend or restrict access to the Platform, in whole or in part, in the event of a breach of these Terms, security risks, or technical maintenance.

Music Story may also terminate or suspend accounts if there is evidence of fraudulent activity, unauthorized use, or any behavior that could harm the integrity of the Platform or its services.

The Platform relies on third-party providers for certain functions, including user authentication. Availability of the Platform may be affected by incidents affecting these providers.

To the extent permitted by law, Music Story shall not be held liable for any temporary interruption or restriction of access.

4. User Accounts and Security

Each user must have a unique and valid email address associated with their Metadata Monitor account.

  • Access credentials (name, password, account type and an automatically generated API token) are strictly personal and non-transferable.
  • Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their credentials.
  • Credentials may not be shared, assigned, or transferred to any third party.
  • In the event of loss, theft, or suspected compromise, users must immediately notify Music Story. Upon notification, Music Story may suspend or revoke the compromised credentials.
  • When an authorized user leaves or is no longer affiliated with the organization, their account must be permanently deleted without delay to prevent any unauthorized access.

Music Story may require users to complete additional verification steps, including multi-factor authentication, where necessary to protect the security of the Platform.

Access levels and permissions may vary depending on the user’s role or contractual status.

5. Trial Access

By default, access to Metadata Monitor is provided under a trial mode, intended for testing, metadata preview, and evaluation purposes only.

A 15-day trial account may be created. Upon registration:

  • An API token is automatically generated, granting API access for the duration of the trial;
  • Trial accounts are limited to 200 API calls per day;
  • Access to a predefined set of endpoints is provided strictly for previewing.

Trial access does not entitle the user to any commercial use of the metadata or other content.

ANY EXTENDED OR COMMERCIAL USE OF THE PLATFORM OR ITS METADATA - INCLUDING INCREASED API LIMITS OR BROADER DATA USAGE RIGHTS - IS PERMITTED ONLY UNDER A SEPARATE WRITTEN AGREEMENT WITH MUSIC STORY, WHICH DEFINES THE APPLICABLE SCOPE OF USE AND CONDITIONS.

6. Acceptable Use Rules

You agree not to:

  • Republish, sell, rent, sublicense, reproduce, duplicate, or redistribute any content from the Platform without prior written authorization from Music Story;

  • Circumvent security measures, including authentication controls and rate limits, or access non-authorized areas;
  • Use the Platform in violation of applicable laws or intellectual property rights;
  • Upload or distribute malicious code or attempt to disrupt the operation of the Platform.

Music Story reserves the right to suspend or terminate access in case of misuse or violation of these Terms.
